Pipeline 1

$5,000.00

Back in the ’80s and early ’90s, I designed for surf brands like Quiksilver, Gotcha, and Billabong — all by hand, with rulers, markers, and gritty B&W Xerox textures that gave the work its soul.

Lately, I’ve been chasing that same raw energy — and what better time to bring it back than for the upcoming @haleiwaartsfestival ?

To recreate that vibe, I turned to block printing. What started as an idea turned into a month-long journey: shaping and staining a Paulownia wood alaia, carving custom linoleum blocks, testing inks, and figuring out how to print directly on the board. Huge thanks to my friend and incredible artist @susanacromwell for guiding me through parts of the process.

I’m only making two — each a one-of-a-kind piece, since the technique lets me shift and rearrange the elements before pressing.
