On my first surf trip to Brazil, I was surfing by myself in Praia da Vila, Imbituba, a long left that started peeling off a small island.
The water was a bit murky and the overcast skies made the whole scenery a bit more dramatic. Suddenly I saw a fin coming out of the water straight towards me and disappearing only a few feet away from the nose of my board, I lifted my feet but as I was doing so I felt something brush against my right foot and for a second I thought of the worse.
I looked towards the tail of my board and that’s when I saw this majestic Bottlenose dolphin jumping right next to me, in a couple of minutes I was surrounded by a small pod and that’s when all my fears went away, realizing that I was in good company.
