I got to meet Tiki Willis, after I painted her, she came to my art opening with her Ohana, we got to talk story with her Dad Alika, a traditional Hawaiian Beach Boy and it was unbelievable how many people we both knew from the days I worked at the beach many decades ago. My friend and photographer Tommy Pierucki, took the photo that inspired this piece, but what motivated me the most to paint her, was that in every shot that Tommy took, she looked to be the one having the most fun in the water.

A percentage of the sales of this edition will go to Stand Up For the Cure, a surfing organization helping women with cancer.
