I’ll always remember how pelicans looked gliding over the surf—like big 747s, but somehow still super graceful. They flew so low, just skimming the water, like they were about to dive right into the waves but never did. The waves were perfectly glassy, the sunrises were insanely colorful, and those early mornings with pelicans flying by are burned into my memory.
