I’ve been told many that: “sometimes you need to hit the bottom in order to push yourself back to the surface” so that thought and an image of my friend Gia inspired this piece.

I believe that in the past couple of years those who took the time to dive deep into themselves and learned more about their essence, strengths and weaknesses instead of standing terrified in front of the screens, found the strength inside to resurface in this chaotic world.

That is why I made this painting with fishes, so it can be turned upside down and then seen with her resurfacing in the midst of these belly up fishes.
