Leina’Ala and her flying Malolos

$5,500.00

In 1985 I fell in love with a logo, might sound kind of stupid, unless if your life revolves around images, like me. That logo meant everything positive and pleasant: beauty, surf, aloha, warmth, in other words Hawai’i. About a year ago while sitting on the Lanai at the Billabong House I got into a conversation with my friend Kawika Drummond as we watched the Pipe Masters finals. He told me his family’s story and suddenly that logo, became part of our conversation. It turns out that his mom was the model on that logo, that same logo I fell in love with, when I first landed on this island.
